Carol Simmons’ Tree Today! Gorgeous!

Carol was one of my guest bloggers in September. We had such a good time doing the 30 Day Photo Challenge. Well, Carol sent me a picture today of her tree! It is gorgeous!

            

            

 

Carol took the first four pictures each Sunday in September. (she missed one week.) This beautiful golden tree was taken today.

Hi!  My name is Carol Simmons and I live in Derby, KS.  My husband and I have been married for 43 years. We have three children and seven grandchildren.   

My favorite thing in the whole world is being a Nana.  Grandchildren are just so much fun!

I also love God, going to church, cuddling up with a good book, watching Dancing with the Stars, taking walks,  and working in the yard.  My favorite movie is Hope Floats.  I love the quote from that movie, 'My cup runneth over', because mine truly does. God is so good, and I thank Him everyday for all my blessings.

my name is stephanie bean.  i reside in oklahoma....& here's a little info 'bout me:

in january of this year, i quit my day job & became a full-time homemaker...a dream come true!  i'm a proud firefighter's wife & a happy mommy to our sweetheart of a baby boy.  i'm a Jesus-follower, an admirer of vintage/antiques, tend to procrastinate (even with many lists/goals), have one crazy sweet tooth (thanks dad!), am learning to live a more simple life, & overall, a shy-but-friendly gal.  my hobbies include crafting, baking, organizing, coffee shops, road-trips, perusing blogs, board games (for fun!  i'm so not competitive), & journaling.

September - 30 Day Photo Challenge

I did a photo challenge the beginning of this year and had a great time doing it. I decided to do another! Pinterest offers many Photography Challenges and Blog Challenges so that is where I went for some directives.

I found this one and even though it was for 2012 I liked the way it is set up and I particularly liked the idea of taking a picture of the same tree one day a week for the month to see the changes over the fall. This was posted by www.betweentheshutters.wordpress.com

Day 28: Daily Routine

Our routine isn't the same every day except for this:

Every morning, Randy makes coffee. (when I make it, it just doesn't taste as good.) This is one thing that happens every morning.

Then I ship books:

From there, our day is different, depending on what day it is. Since this is Monday, even before I get my cup of coffee and even before I ship the books, I strip the bed and wash the sheets:

Unusual for a Monday - there were estate sales - So we headed out.

I always spend time each day blogging.

We almost always watch some westerns in the evenings.

While I'm cooking dinner. (supper)

Our days are different - yet the same.

There is great comfort in routine.

I've always survived better with a routine.

My life is good.

Day 27: After Dark

Taking pictures after dark in the city is much different than in the country! It truly is dark in the country. But it was fun and I got some good pictures. - even though it doesn't look dark.

Since this is my birthday month, I thought of doing another self-portrait!! : )

Just kidding!! The Husband and I started a new hobby this week! We are traveling around taking pictures of Sculptures in Wichita. (we found a book at an estate sale that lists them and thought it would be fun to do our own Photos!) And we are also traveling around taking pictures of churches - because we enjoy it!
