Monday's Musings

Yesterday was an extremely good church day. The sermon was one of the best Easter sermon's I've ever heard. The music was perfect for the day. - I mean, anytime we sing "Joyful, Joyful" it's a good day! (Randy and I walked down the aisle at our wedding to this song!)

It's not always easy to make The Easter Story interesting for Christian's and Non-Christians - because it's a story almost everyone in main-stream America has heard. But Pastor Brent at the First Mennonite Brethren Church of Wichita, Kansas did just that. A very blessed service. God spoke.

Anyway, I said all that to say this. I have the very great privilege of knowing many people really interested in missions.

My brother left today for a mission trip to Haiti with his church. Randy's granddaughter went on a summer mission trip last year. We had a very nice, professional display board used for our mission work in Jamaica and for Heather when she went to Haiti. I was able to donate it to a young family preparing to go to Africa. A couple that are really good friends of ours have a son with a heart for missions and Trae has been to Africa twice. We receive many letters from young people going on summer Mission trips. - Asking for prayer and also support. God uses all of these people for good.

There is one reason and one reason only so many people have a heart for God. A heart to share His love, His grace with others.

Everything we live for is all connected to one day.
That one day that gives us hope.
Gives us peace that passes all understanding.
That day gives us grace.

Resurrection Sunday.

He lives indeed.
